January Release Update

It's been a very, very busy month here at troupeIT. We've just finished managing the BHOF Application process, which we do once a year, and part of that work is to clean up the site. Here's all of the things that we pushed out the door this month, and it's barely the 30th 😸 Larger changes have a ⭐ next to them

• ⭐ New troupeIT Manual: Live at https://docs.troupeit.com !
• ⭐ Asset post-processing: AI Audio Analysis - Know the status of an audio file before you have to play it. Checks for leading/trailing space, distortion, poor dynamics, and low volume. We also reprocessed the last year of audio with this information
• ⭐ Support Tickets (email and www): Create, manage and reply to your open support tickets right on troupeIT, or use email at support@troupeit.com
• ⭐ Show List: Clean up the layout of show display, show predicted times, add per-cue colors. Any cue can have a color set. Not just notes!
• ⭐ API: A new, public API for developer use with full documentation.

• Dark Mode / Light Mode: For easier viewing backstage and at FOH.
• Video embedding: We now properly show embedded video from the top video sites
• Import/Export: Brand new QLab Applescript importer: Export from TroupeIT, to QLab and track your show, with SMPTE cues and / or QLab updating
  • Breaking change: New format for metadata.tsv in downloads. Contains the seq_id, and show_item_id in the first two columns for interfacing to the bridge.
• (beta) QLab to OSC to TroupeIT Bridge: Import your show using the applescript we provide on the download page, add your API key, and Hit "GO" in Qlab and it'll automatically set the active cue in TroupeIT (Download Here, requires Python 3.1 and an API Key)
  • Why? Everyone can log into the Live View page and see exactly where the show is.
• Download: Revamp the show download page with audio analysis data and new columns
• Shows: Permit delete with confirmation of a show
• Chat: Unified, site-wide chat interface for shows, troupes, and events
• Usernames: Retain user's choice of spacing and capitalization across pages. Standardize "@" style user name displays, like social media. Move away from displaying email addresses. Make sure usernames are unique.
• Blog: Brand new blog with updated version of Ghost
• Acts: Improve performance by 300x when listing many acts by removing duplicate queries
